The new Desire 10 smartphone dubbed HTC Desire 10 Pro and HTC lifestyle have been launched by HTC.

The phones which have a new metallic body have been gaining a lot of hype due to incessant marketing by the company under the #BeEdgier hashtag.Though both the phone have similar names they are vastly different from each other.
HTC Desire 10 Pro:
The Desire 10 Pro has the better hardware of the two phones. The phone has a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display and runs a Mediatek Helio P10 chipset. It has a 4 GB RAM and 65 GB of expandable storage space.
The phone has a 20 MP rear camera which also boasts a f/2.2 27.8mm-equivalent lens, laser autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The front camera is 13 MP which has a a 150-degree selfie panorama mode to ensure better group selfies.
The desire 10 Pro has Cat. 6 LTE (up to 300Mbps down/50Mbps up), dual-band 5GHz/2.4GHz Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (but no ac), Bluetooth v4.2, NFC and AGPS + GLONASS.
Other than these the phone also offers a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB 2.0 port and a 3,000mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner placed on the back pf the phone can be sued to control the camera as well as unlock the device.
The phone dimensions of the phone are as follows 156.5 x 76 x 7.9mm and carries a weight of 165g.
HTC 10 Desire Lifestyle:
Despite looking and feeling the same way this Phone offers lesser hardware features than the phone mentioned above. Though it has the same 5.5 inch screen it only has a screen resolution of 720p and a 267ppi pixel density.
The phone is powered by the outdated Snapdragon 400. The phone has two variants, a 3GB RAM/32GB storage and a 2GB RAM /16GB option. The inbuilt storage on the both the variants is expandable.
The rear camera on the Lifestyle is 13 MP which comes with a /2.2 28mm-equiv. lens while the selfie camera on the phone is 5MP and has a /2.8 aperture and a 33.7mm-equiv focal length. For connectivity options the phone has LTE Cat.
4 as well as 2.4GHz Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC and AGPS + GLONASS. The Desire Lifestyle has a microUSB 2.0 port and a 2,700mAh battery. There is no fingerprint scanner on this phone. The phone measures 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.7 mm and weighs 155g.
Both the phone are the first to support the new interface concept. Within this new concept HTC has given up on the onscreen buttons and puts the navigation in the bottom bezel. This new concept also gives you the freedom to arrange your widgets and apps according to your liking.

This whole experience has been given the name HTC Sense which will come with the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. There is a variety of colors to choose from for the phones which include Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue, and Valentina Flux. The Desire Lifestyle is available in select markets starting today while the Desire Pro will be made available from next month.
