Here’s all the detail about the new cars unveiled in the Paris Motor Show

The Paris Motor Show that was anticipated for a long time has finally commenced and closed after giving us a couple of mind blowing rides. There were a number of new cars and updated models unveiled on the platform. Along with that we got to see some futuristic concepts by many car makers too. 

Here’s the list of all the extravagant vehicles revealed in the show:

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster world premiere was the highlight of the Mercedes-Benz Media Night on the eve of the “Mondial de l’Automobile 2016”. The open-top two-seater will offer an ultimate open air driving pleasure. It is going to be available in two versions. The car will be available for launch in market in February, 2017.


Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé

Mercedes-AMG also unveiled a sneak preview of the new GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé at the Paris Motor Show. This car pairs elegantly sporty design with the brand’s trademark Driving Performance. Added to that are the classic SUV strengths of seating position, interior versatility and traction both on and off the beaten track.

“Starting this year, we will offer the widest model range in the entire performance segment,” said Tobias Moers, , CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, continuing: “In fact, we will top up our portfolio by at least ten newcomers. With that, we will offer a choice of no less than 48 different AMG performance cars.”


Mercedes-Benz Maybach 6 Concept 

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach 6 Concept, which was highly anticipated, revealed in the Paris Motor Show. This car is the true epitome of class and money matters. The car has a large bonnet that was already predicted and a sleek body that has put so many beautiful cars to shame. 

However the overall design of this car is something that is not entirely excellent to watch. The car looks like that of an old modified model of the eighties with a few tweaks. If you are looking for a futuristic design which is equally sporty looking then this is not a car for you. Though if you are looking for a car that is nothing but Royal and Classic in nature in terms of looks then this can be a great choice. 


Mercedes-Benz Generation EQ Concept

At the Paris Motor Show 2016, Mercedes-Benz also unveiled the Generation EQ concept. It is another concept by the car maker that is surely worth mentioning. It is an electric SUV which is pretty much in competition with VW’s I.D which is also an EV.  It has a total power of 400bhp and will have electric motors each on an axle. Thus the car will be off four wheeled drive. The car is supposed to go in production in 2019.

It is also being said that it will rival the Tesla Model X. however this will be a much more affordable car as compared to Tesla which offers the most expensive EVs. The car is supposed to feature a range of 300 miles in a single charge which is an excellent figure. 

The car is supposed to be the new face of Mercedes’s EV technology. It is being said that the auto maker will be offering many EVs in the future. We are looking forward to see 10 new EVs by the year 2025 from Mercedes. They are also hoping to get 25% of all sales through the electric cars contributed by the company. 


Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain 

Merc is going for a four-wheel drive car this year as well. With the introduction of an All-Terrain drive the auto maker has entered a territory that was not much associated with it. This will be a raised suspension car which is pretty much like a Women’s SUV. 

Recently companies like that of Volvo, Audi and Volkswagen ventured into the All-Terrain platform, thus Merc is also getting in to this prospective. The standard thing used in the car by the company will include 4Matic All-Wheel drive, rugged styled side skirts, and bumpers, extensions which will style the car and wheel arch extensions. 

The car will come with a V6 diesel engine that will raise the price of car by 1000 pounds.


Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover discovery which was unveiled in the event and internationally with a Guinness World Record is something to buy for sure if you are an SUV fan. The vehicle is slightly longer than the older model and also a little narrower from front. It has a lower height but have an extra wheelbase of 38mm. 

This vehicle is going to be a seven seater whose seats will be able to arrange from outside of the car just by using your phone. The Land Rover Discovery will be available at the price of 43,495 pounds. 

Discovery has been given a luxurious interior and a fantastic body as well. It is also supposed to be stable and durable which is a kid friendly thing making it an excellent family car. 


Nissan Micra 

Nissan Micra which was considered an excellent car in the start had lost its charm in the few years. The comeback made by the Nissan of this car ensured that this small sized car is given an excellent range and a fantastic body so that customers get attracted to it. This car has been given a longer and wider body. 

The Nissan Micra is supposed to go on sale in the first quarter of 2017. It will be a competition for Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo and Skoda Fabia. It will carry a three-cylinder petrol engine or a Renault’s 1.5 liter four cylinder diesel engine. Nissan is going to produce this car as one of the efficient cars made by company. 


LaFerrari Aperta

There’s going to be a new Ferrari in town as well. The Paris Motor Show, presented the drop head version of LaFerrari in the form of Aperta. The car has been introduced to celebrate the 70th anniversary year of company. It is supposed to get an electric/petrol hybrid supercar. It is one of the very first special models that are introduced by the company. 

The company will produce around 350 new models as a part of celebration and each of the models will have a unique paint job. 


Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T 

The new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T was another exciting reveal of the Paris Motor Show. The car showcases a turbocharged V8 engine which will be a 3.9 liters engine. It will have an output of 606bhp. The car has been given a rear wheel drive in this model. However previously it had a V12 engine with a four-wheel drive. It has saved 80 kg of the total weight of the car which in turns will be effective for greater speed. 

This Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T will be available at a price of £230,000. It will have four seats and a boot of decent size. Plus the car will be able to top 0-62mph in mere 3.5 seconds which will pretty fast too. It will have a maximum speed of 200mph. 


Renault Trezor 

Renault showcased the new Trezor with style and fine technology. The company took its guests to the Academy Des Beaux Arts and let them wear 3D VR glasses. The Virtual Reality glasses were supposed to provide an experience about the car. They were shown a movie about its design, its features and evolution. 

The Renault Trezor is a futuristic sporty concept car by the car maker. The Trezor has a shape that looks like a combo of a Star Trek vehicle and a sporty car. The cabin of this car slides off, off it to reveal a cockpit just like spaceships!

The car is supposed to be an electric car and its energy will be supplied by electric motors that are influenced by company’s Formula E Racing technology used. However we don’t know that when this car will be produced officially.


Renault Zoe 

The Renault Zoe which is an EV originally has been updated and revised for the 2017 model. It was also show cased in the Paris Motor Show. The company has claimed that it will be able to drive 400km which is equal to 248 miles on a full charged battery.

The battery charging time of the car has been decreased as well in order to provide full efficiency to the car’s module. The car was previously giving a range of 125 miles approx. however just by the addition of 2,500 pounds, the car will be able to give double mileage. Along with that Renault Zoe customers will be given a charging card that will allow them to recharge the car at most of the charging points. 


Volkswagen I.D.

Volkswagen has also introduced a new concept car in the event. They have come up with Volkswagen I.D which is going to be an electric car. The company is claiming that it will be an all-electric car. Tesla and Mercedes also claimed earlier that they are coming with an all-electric car. Now it looks like VW has taken a plunge in the see of all electric terrain cars too. 

The Volkswagen I.D. will offer 371 miles with the help of a 25kWh motor. The car will be a four seater car with wide space. It will feature five doors. 

The CEO of VW, Diess said that they are off to challenge Tesla and Apple with Volkswagen I.D. according to VW, I.D is going to be people’s car. This car will be controlled through augmented virtual reality. This means that it will not have any kind of switches, sticks but will have only screens to make the functions work. 

The car will be available in 2020 and will be available at the price of Golf Diesel. The batteries of this Volkswagen I.D will be made of lithium ion technology. 


Honda Civic Type R, Prototype 

Honda did not stay behind the line when it came to Paris Motor Show 2016. The company came up with the Honda Civic Type R, Prototype which is all set to make an appearance in the market in few months. The car is inspired from the Civic that was released earlier however it will have some awesome new features for you to look forward too. 

The Honda Civic Type R, Prototype has gotten a new multi-link rear suspension. The car is sporty and has been given a sporty quality for that as well. It will be available in 1.1 and 1.5 liter petrol engines. While there will be an option of 1.6 turbodiesel engine as well. It will be a five door car. 

The final price of the car hasn’t been revealed yet. Though all the cars will have a Honda radar sensing emergency braking system. They will also cater the lane keeping system as a standard. 


Audi Q5

The Q5 was revealed in the Paris Motor Show as well. This new Audi Q5 is smarter, prettier and more intelligent than ever. This luxury crossover is bigger than its previous model but lighter in terms of weight. The car will go on sale in Europe in the first quarter of year 2017.

The wheelbase has been increased in the new Q5 which has given it more leg room. The car will be available in 14 colors and 5 different packages. The Q5 will be given various driving assistance systems such as predictive efficiency, slow moving system and personal route assistance. 

The base price of Q5 Audi is set to be around $50,592 in Europe. However the American pricing of the car is yet to be announced.


Skoda Kodiaq

The Skoda Kodiaq is a seven seater SUV that will be a good competition for Land Rover Discovery. The car has not been priced yet but if it is given a good price then it will be a great choice for people who love a luxury SUV. 

The car is smaller in size but will be offering all the qualities that Discovery is going to give you. Thus if it is priced lower than Discovery then it can be tough competition to consider as well. 


Opel Ampera-e 

The new Opel Ampera-e is actually a rebadged and updated version of Chevrolet Bolt. It’s regarded as the first full electric vehicle by the company. The car won’t be sold in the right hand drive version. 

It will use a 60kWh battery which is developed with the help of LG which is going to provide power through the 288 Lithium ion cells that are planted at the bottom of car. These will provide a power of 201bhp on the whole to the car. It will be able to go from 0 to 30mph in mere 3.2 seconds which is pretty fast for a small sized EV. The car will showcase a top speed pf 93.2mph. 

According to Opel, this car will be able to get a range of at least 150km on full charged battery while driven on the roads. It’s been given the status of a true electric car that can be used in every day. The company is all set to produce 20 new models by the year 2020. 

As we have told earlier that it won’t be available in right hand drive, it also means that the car won’t be produced for the British customers.


Porsche Panamera 4 E

Porsche also released the Porsche Panamera 4 E Hybrid in the Paris Motor Show this year. The hybrid is an exciting looking machine with beautiful details to consider. It has the ability to provide an output of 462bhp that will be provided through petrol and batteries both. 


Hyundai i30 Hatchback

Hyundai’s i30 which is regarded as company’s most intelligent car is coming in a hatchback model too. The automaker just revealed the Hatchback version of the car in the Paris Motor Show.

The car is a beauty to look at and will go into production in the start of 2017. Hyundai is claiming that this car will be the true epitome of efficiency, reliability and safety for the users.


Kia Rio

The world premiere of the Kia Rio was made in the Paris Motor Show this week. The car has been given a lot of upgrades that makes it a great one for the fans out there. This new Kia Rio is sportier and more powerful than the previous models. It has a power of 240bhp.

A new exterior and interior design has given it a great look along with great value of money as well.  It has a 325 liters cargo that is bigger than ever. It has the latest connectivity features, the safety systems that are upgraded, the new cabin technologies, and other newer things. Along with that it will offer the facility of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

It will also showcase features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking system and pedestrian recognition. The new Kia Rio will be offered in both gasoline and diesel options.

It will showcase a latest engine by Kia which is a 1.0 liter T-GDI. This technology uses direct gasoline injections in the engine that makes it a great choice for efficiency. The fourth-generation Kia Rio will go on sale globally in the start of year 2017.
