Plans are being formulated to introduce electric car charging points in home in Europe
The EVs are certainly making their way towards the market and into the homes of many customers. It is time that Electric vehicle will be seen in a large number on the roads of Europe.
Many cars such as Bolt, Tesla Model S, and Nissan Leaf have gathered much attention from public being the electric option to be driven on road. As the companies are working on the range of these EVs, we are looking forward to an uprising market for these vehicles as well.
A large number of EVs will require a lot of charging points for cars. For this purpose, power houses and electric vehicle makers are looking forward to build a plan according to which each home in Europe will have its own charging point for EVs. This law is supposed to be pass by the year 2019 in EU.
According to a new regulation, by the year 2023, all the new buildings will have 10% of parking space that will be reserved for EVs. These parking spaces will also have charging points for these EVs as well, according to the Guardian.
This kind of step taken by EU looks like the one which is following the plan of Norway and Netherlands. Both of these countries are going to stop making and importing diesel cars by the year 2025.
This kind of step is really needed due to the fact that new and new EVs are going to be released soon. While the range in the new EVs will be almost 250 miles, these will still need charging points.
Thus opting for charging points in every home will make them to charge in an easy way. Along with that with this kind of step energy conservation will happen and environmental pollution will certainly lower down.
