Kindle 2 official Photos leaked

The first photos of the Amazon Kindle 2 already leaked back in October 2008. Now new official glossy photos of the next generation Kindle eBook reader have appeared on MobileRead (Via Engadget) before the Monday Amazon press conference.
Update: Kindle 2 on sale, ships February 24th.

Along with the Kindle 2 marketing photos the price and the supposed release date leaked too. Amazon will keep the $349 price point of the Kindle also for the new device. The release date of Kindle 2 is supposedly February 24th. This date matches the current shipping estimates of the original Kindle that is supposed to ship in 2-4 weeks. I strongly assume that Amazon totally ran out of Kindle and had to wait until Kindle 2 is ready to ship to fulfill the Kindle orders that went in since Kindle sold out at the end of last year.

Amazon has announced a press-conference For Monday February 9th. All the details about Kindle 2 will most likely be revealed then.
