Netbooks are carrying over their hype from 2008 into 2009. Netbook pioneer Asus is riding high again with the Asus 1000HE dominating the Amazon netbooks sales charts. There is of course more new tasty netbook releases to come in 2009 as our look at the future for netbooks outlines. Update: Asus Eee 1008HA unveiled

Digitimes reports that Chinese language paper Commerical Times printed about a new Asus netbook dubbed Asus Eee PC Shell that is supposed to be launched in April.
The Asus Eee PC Shell would be better equipped than the Asus Eee PC S101 and is supposed to be easier to carry.Other features of the Asus Eee PC Shell would include longer battery life and a 10.1 inch screen.
The price of the Eee Shell netbook would be around $500. You can buy the Asus Eee PC S101 now on

If the rumor is true and the Eee PC Shell would be released already in April, then Asus is most likely announcing the Shell at the CeBIT 2009 next week.

About CeBIT 2009:
The IT Tradeshow CeBIT 2009 is taking place from March 3rd until March 8th in Hannover, Germany. The partner "country" this year is California. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is on hand to open the CeBIT 2009. Follow the product announcements at CeBIT 2009 in our CeBIT 2009 News.
