THQ Brings Age of Empires: Mythologies to Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS is set to get one of the most popular PC game series ever—Age of Empires. THQ says that it is bringing Age of Empires: Mythologies to the Nintendo DS and that the game was inspired by the Windows PC versions.

The Nintendo DS version will allow players to strategize as legendary heroes with huge armies at their disposal. The game will feature both single player and multi-player campaigns. THQ hasn’t specified a specific release date for the game. It simply says fall 2008 for launch.

"Age of Empires: Mythologies will combine one of the most successful Windows PC franchises of all time with the innovative style and controls of Nintendo DS, bringing a totally unique experience to handheld gamers," said Kevin Kraff, vice president of global brand management, THQ. "With three playable civilizations, a fast-paced combat system and extensive multi-player options, Age of Empires: Mythologies will be one of the must-have tactical strategy games this year."
