Asus unveils the My Cinema PE6300Hybrid DVB-T and Analog TV Card.
The Asus My Cinema PE6300 Hybrid, which supports both digital (DVB-T) and analog (PAL/ NTSC) TV programs, has an embedded hardware MPEG2 encoder that reduces CPU loading. Adopting the new PCI Express x1 interface, transmission speeds of up to 500 MB/s (faster than the PCI bus of 133MB/s) can be achieved – an improvement of almost 3 times over conventional technology.
With the Asus My Cinema PE6300 Hybrid you can watch digital or analog TV programs, make scheduled recordings, edit and make your own movies, burn DVD or VCDs, listen to FM and MP3 music, sort video and photographs, and utilize the ASUS VideoSecurity Online technology to build a home monitoring/security system.
Asus did not reveal pricing and a shipping date for the Asus My Cinema PE6300 Hybrid, but the card is actually already shipping (Alternate Shop) in Germany for 79 Euro (~$124).
