Motorola and T-Mobile announced today that the MOTOROKR E8 will make its retail debut in the US on July 7th with T-Mobile. The device will be a T-Mobile exclusive handset. Key features for the phone include ModeShift to turn the phone into a MP3 player at the press of a button, haptics technology for feedback, FastScroll, Crystal Talk, and preloaded music.

The device uses Windows Media Player 11 for music playback. When not turned on the ROKR E8 has no visible keys and it features a built-in FM tuner along with Song ID. Internal storage is 2GB and it can be expanded with an optional 4GB microSD card. Pricing information is unknown at this time.

"With ROKR E8, U.S. music lovers no longer have to settle when it comes to using their mobile phone as a music player and vice versa," said Jean Pierre Le Cannellier, senior director of North America marketing, Motorola Mobile Devices. "ROKR E8 is an exciting blend of innovative design and technology that harmonizes music and phone features into a single mobile device."
