Kodak has added a new super zoom camera to its line called the Kodak EasyShare Z1015 IS. The new camera has a 15x Schneider-Kreuznach Varigon optical zoom lens with image stabilization. The lens has a wide angle setting of f/2.8 28mm as well.

The Z1015 IS has a 10MP sensor and features a best in class 0.22 second click-to-capture speed for fast action shots. The camera also has Kodak’s Smart Capture feature which automatically adjusts settings for the best image in a given scene. ISO sensitivity is up to ISO 6400 at 3MP. The camera will be available in September for $349.95.

"This latest addition to the EASYSHARE System family enables consumers to effortlessly get a brilliant shot every time," said John Blake, General Manager Digital Capture and Devices, Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. "The versatile lens, combined with our exclusive Smart Capture feature, lets consumers capture great pictures as they move from daytime to night and from close-ups to landscapes -- the camera does all the thinking for them."
