Peak Products has one seriously sweet guitar controller for fans of Guitar games called the Starpex. The controller is the first full size wood guitar controller for both the PS2 and the PS3. The Starpex is instrument quality and has a hardwood body with an all wood neck and headstock. Peak says that the controller was made by a leading manufacturer of guitars.
The controller has toggle effects and full functionality in both Guitar Hero and Rock Band. A Star Power/Overdrive button is included and a tilt sensor is built-in as well to allow activation like the OEM controllers. The whammy bar is optimized for comfort and feel and ten fret buttons are featured along with solo buttons higher on the neck. The strum bar is enhanced for more feel and has audible feedback as well. The Starpex will be available in August for $179.95.
