Italian high-end home theater projector maker announces the new Domino D60 projector with a price point under $5,000.
The new Sim2 D60 features a single-chip DLP projection system, which is based upon the latest 1080p DarkChip3 0.95-inch DMD chipset from Texas Instruments.
The TI DarkChip3 incorporates two recent developments: BrilliantColor improves optical efficiency and extends the system’s available color gamut, while Dynamic Black contrast-enhancement significantly boosts effective black-level. Thanks in part to these advances, the D60’s extended contrast (>10,000:1), powerful brightness, and superbly accurate color rendition combine to deliver crisp, colorful images without the motion-blur associated with competing technologies.
The Sim2 D60 full range of inputs and outputs includes dual HDMI inputs, component, and RGB-HD as well as serial control and 12v-trigger, and the versatility of powered vertical lens shift (+60/-40 percent), variable Iris, and 50-200-inch picture size.
The D60 is compatible with all video standards including 1080p, and integrates on-board processing for every important aspect ratio, 16:9, anamorphic, letterbox, and pixel-for-pixel. The D60 projector is available in SIM2's famous Black Shadow matte finish.
The MSRP of the D60 is $4,995. More details on Sim2 USA site.
