EA Announces Maddenpalooza for Madden NFL 09 Launch

EA announced today that it is planning a big event it is calling Maddenpalooza. The event will be a sports, music, and gaming fan festival that will be hosted at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on August 11th.

The celebration is helping to promote the 20th anniversary of the Madden franchise. The festival includes performances by bands that have been featured in the game before including Good Charlotte. Retired NFL players will be on hand for autographs and kiosks to play the game.

"Maddenpalooza will truly be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of one of the most popular video games in history," said Director of Marketing Chris Erb. "The fan festival will provide an interactive experience for Madden fans to come together and experience Madden NFL 09 before its launch."
