NVISION 08 is coming up at the end of August and NVIDIA is really stacking the deck to get geeks to show up for the show. NVIDIA announced that Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage will appear in a unique presentation at the conference. The pair are best known for their show Mythbusters on Discovery Channel.
Exactly what the pair will be dong at the show is unknown. NVIDIA will only say that the guys will be shooting or blowing something up. Maybe they will loft an AMD graphics card in the air on a rocket powered by Mentos and Diet Coke. Between these guys and Battlestar Galactica hottie Tricia Helfer, I really need to go. NVIDIA if you are reading send me a plane ticket so I can come to the show. -- for purely professional reasons mind you.
"We are thrilled to have Jamie and Adam come to NVISION 08," said Rob Csongor, vice president of corporate marketing, NVIDIA. "I don't want to give anything away about what they are going to do, but Jamie and Adam are working very hard to build something that's special for NVISION, and has never been seen before. They will have a unique way to contribute to the world of visual computing in their live presentation and we think NVISION attendees will find it educational and entertaining. Everyone should be reassured that most of us at NVIDIA believe it will be completely safe."

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
