A new photo format has been announced called XDepth RAW and it is the only image format and file solution able to function as both a RAW image and a Jpeg at once. XDepth Raw can store at 72-bit/pixel full dynamic range. The average image taken with the XDepth Raw format is 0.2MB.
The average normal Raw format image is 1.5MB in size. The files can be opened and recognized by any software or application that can view Jpeg images including email and web pages.
