One of the most anticipated survival horror games since Doom 3 has officially gone gold. EA has announced that Dead Space has hit the golden point and will ship on October 14th for Xbox 360 and PS3. PC gamers will have to wait a few more days for shipment on October 20th.

Xbox 360 owners can also get a very limited edition run of 1,000 Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition sets with an animated movie, bonus content, 97-page art book, 160-page graphic novel and a signed lithograph for $149. Buyers who get the game in the first 2 weeks for Xbox and PS3 will get a platform exclusive suit (PS3 suit pictured).

Both of the limited edition suits are more than simply skins. The suits offer increased toughness and more inventory slots. The Dead Space Ultra Limited edition game will be sold via the EA store and will ship on October 14th. The game is rated M by the ESRB.
