SanDisk does decently in the market with its line of Sansa music and media players. Apple may be the runaway leader, but Sansa typically holds the number two spot in the top sellers list. This week SanDisk announced a new 8Gb version of the Sansa Clip.

That gives the player four times the amount of storage that Apple offers on its iPod Shuffle player of comparable size. SanDisk says the device will run for 15 hours on a single charge.

Other features include a FM receiver, voice recorder, and compatibility with Rhapsody to Go, Napster, and eMusic. Much like the iPod, the Clip lacks memory expansion capabilities. The player will cost around £50.
