Microsoft today announced survey findings from the Xbox 360 Holiday Entertainment Survey along with the launch of some weird tools.
Microsoft leverages the not surprising survey results to argue that the Xbox 360 is the best value to stay entertained during the Holidays.
Of course the survey said that people stay home this Christmas to conserve cash. Additionally 86% of young adults hope to receive at least one video game this year according to the survey.
With the Xbox Holiday Value Finder you can very visually compare the Xbox value with a dinner out and other things.
The Xbox 360 Holiday Gift Influencer is a new tool that allows you to answer a series of questions and then receive a customized letter that you can provide to the gift-giver in your life to prove why you need an Xbox 360 console.
This funny letter can be e-mailed or printed out, along with an Xbox 360 product wish list to further lead your gift-giver down the right path this holiday. I find the Nintendo Mario Phone Prank Call a much funnier way to ask for gifts. More details on the Xbox site.
Microsoft could actually save the money on these marketing measures. The Xbox 360 with the new NXE, Netflix streaming and the new pricing is a hot value. The Xbox will sell really well this season.
