The 15.6-inch display can run at 120Hz to accommodate the NVidia 3D Vision technology, powered by a GeForce GTX 260M with a gigabyte of DDR3 frame buffer memory. Inside, users have a choice of several core i7-720QM Core i7 quad-core processors. Audio is supplied by a pair of Altec Lansing integrated speakers, driven by the Creative EAX Advanced HD 4.0 3D audio technology and CMSS surround sound.
The notebook works in 3D with about 400 games, including popular Resident Evil 5, Borderlands, and World of Warcraft among others. The 3D Vision uses a set of rechargeable active shutter glasses, a USB IR emitter, a driver disc, and all of the requisite DVI and USB cables.
The ASUS Republic of Gamers G51J-3D Laptop is available on Amazon for $1,699.00.
