Spike TV Announces 2008 Video Game Awards Winners

Spike held its Video Game Awards last night to crown the winners of some of the best video games of 2008. The show was hosted by Jack Black and was held for the sixth year to recognize outstanding games.

Best Game of the Year went to Grand Theft Auto IV; GTA IV also won best action adventure game of the year. Studio of the year award went to Media Molecule, which I have never heard of. Gears of War 2 won the title of Best Shooter, best music game went to Rock Band 2, and best soundtrack went to Rock Band 2.

Best RPG title went to Fallout 3. The title of best Xbox game went to Gears of War 2, while the title of best PS3 game went to LittleBigPlanet. The award for best PC game went to Left 4 Dead. The best Wii game was Boom Blox.
