One of the biggest wishes for iPhone and iPod users away from an outlet for long periods is more run time. With Apple's preference for non-removable batteries, simply getting an extra battery to extend run time isn’t an option.

This leaves iPhone and iPod fans to use clip on batteries that connect to the bottom of the devices. DreamGear has a new battery for the iPhone and the iPod called the i.Sound 2-in-1 Charger and Back Up Battery.

The device works with all 30 pin connector equipped Apple devices. Inside the battery is a USB AC adapter that can charge the iPod or iPhone from a wall outlet. Inside the housing is a battery that allows for extra hours of run time as well. The device ships with a USB AC adapter and a retractable USB cable. The battery retails for $49.99.
