The more interesting of the two new versions is the U115 that uses a hybrid combination of a SSD for the OS and a HDD for storage. Both of the storage devices can be used simultaneously. The machine will use the new Intel Atom Z530 CPU running at 1.6GHz. The chipset is an Intel Poulsbo US15W.
The machine will use up to 2GB of DDR2, which may make Windows Vista an option on the machine. The SSD will be 16GB and the internal HDD is 160GB. An integrated webcam features 2MP and 802.11n Wi-Fi and a multicard reader is integrated as well. The 10-inch LCD has the 1024 x 600 resolution and the device will run Windows XP home. Pricing is unknown, but expect it to be more than the U110's roughly $350 price thanks to the SSD.
