Sony Ericsson unveiled the W995 Walkman mobile phone at the MWC 2009 in Barcelona.
The new W995 is the most powerful Walkman phone to date offering features like Turbo 3G, Wi-Fi and a 8.1MP camera.
Still it the W995 just bores big time. It is yet another Walkman phone that improves on hardware and software. The W995 will only be attractive to those who are already handling a Walkman phone on their commute. It is just not innovative. The new Sony Ericsson Idou concept that has also been unveiled at the MWC 2009, follows the same path and is just improving media playback with an impressive feature set, but it is not revolutionary and it most likely will not turn around sales for Sony Ericsson. The features of the Sony Ericsson W995 include 2.6 inch display, 8.1 megapixel camera
with up to 16x digital zoom, 3.5mm audio jack, speaker phone, 3D games, Bluetooth, and aGPS.
The W995 ships with an 8GB Memory Stick Micro.
The Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UTMS/HSPA 900/2100.
W995 will be available in selected markets from Q2 in the colors Progressive Black, Cosmic Silver and Energetic Red.
Media Go will be available for all markets from the W995 launch in 15 different languages.
