Apple is expected any time soon to release new iMac computers. They did not unveil NVIDIA and DisplayPort featuring iMacs in Fall, so it needs to happen most likely this quarter. Update: Apple Media Event rumored for March 24th
Some reports now support the assumption that Apple will unveil new iMac for 2009 already this month.
Apple Insider has published an analysis of the depleting inventory of the 3.06Ghz iMac at retailers, which they take as a hint that new iMacs are coming.
9 to 5 Mac reports about references to the Intel Core i7 CPU found in the 10.5.7 OS X update and pins together some other rumors to come to the same conclusion that new hardware is on the way from Apple.
New Apple hardware is nice, but I am actually more excited about what OS X Snow Leopard is really going to deliver and what the new iPhone 2009 is going to be all about.
