Fans of the Metal Gear solid franchise will be glad to hear that the franchise has made its debut on the iPhone and iPod touch. Konami has announced that a special version of the game specifically designed for the iPhone and touch is now available on the App store.

The game is called Metal Gear Solid Touch and covers the final chapter in the saga of Solid Snake. Konami says that players join forces with Old Snake as he fights mercs from Private Military Companies, Haven Troopers, Gekko and the bosses of B&B corps.

Snake uses short and long-range weapons in the game, the game has over 20 different levels, and enemies from past MGS titles. The game is available on the App Store now for $7.99. If the screen shots on the games official website are actually from the iPhone game graphics are fantastic.
