Mophie has announced a new Juice Pack for the iPod touch 2G that fits snugly and offers significantly more runtime than the device alone. Mophie says that the device will add 42 hours of additional audio playback and up to 7 hours of additional video playback.
In addition to providing extended run time, the Juice Pack also works like a case to help protect the iPod. The charging of the case is done with the stock iPod charge cord and power passes through from the Juice Pack to the iPod charging both devices at once. The touch 2G Juice Pack sells for $99.99.
