If you have display issues with your 2009 MacBook Pro then cheer up as Apple just released a new firmware fixing the issue.
This firmware update is recommended for all 17-inch MacBook Pro (Early 2009) users and addresses the appearance of vertical lines or distorted graphics on the notebook display.
We reported about the MacBook Pro graphics issue in the first week of March. Apple needed three weeks to address the issue.
