Inside the Z series chassis is a modular design with components that slide into place and a cable-less environment for additional serviceability. The exterior of the Z series is brushed aluminum inspired by BMW Group DesignworksUSA.

The workstations use the new Intel Xeon 5500 series CPUs that feature integrated memory controllers and Intel Turbo Boost. Options for the system inclued new graphics solutions, HD audio and SSDs. HP Z Workstations are expected to ship worldwide on April 6th with pricing stating at $1999 for the Z800, $1679 for the Z600, and $969 for the Z400.
