DirecTV DVR Scheduler for iPhone is a Hit

DirecTV has announced that its DVR Scheduler application for the iPhone and iPod touch has been a massive hit with over 100,000 downloads in the first four days it has been offered. The application is free and allows users to schedule their DVR to record programs while away from home.

The application allows users to browse the entire program guide and view programs by date and time. After finding the program they want, the user can begin the recording with one touch. This is certainly a slick application.

The only catch to the app is that it requires DIRECTV Plus DVR models R15, R16, R22, DIRECTV Plus HD DVR models HR20, HR21, HR23, or TiVo® Series 2 receivers with 6.4a software.
