Everybody's favourite dinosaur is no more. Poor Pleo has gone the same way as it's cousins and finally become extinct.
The firm behind the cute robot dinosaur, Ugobe has filed for bankruptcy, sacking all it's employees in the process.Robot dinosaur Pleo is no more. Despite selling over 100,000 units in the last 12 months, each costing $350, the firms makers are closing the doors. Ugobe's overheads must be extreme because on those sales thats a $35,000,000 turnover so it looks like the recession is biting harder than Pleo.
So it looks like Pleo will become a novel collectors item just like the Sony Aibo. So grab one while you still can and enjoy hours of fun with the little creature just like me and the kids have.
