Microsoft launched the download for the new Windows 7 Release Candidate for everybody.
There is no hurry in getting Windows 7 RC 1 as Microsoft will offer it for download at least through July 2009 and Microsoft is not limiting the number of product keys, so you have plenty of time.
The Windows RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours (fun idea!).
Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010.
If you run Windows XP or Windows 7 Beta you need to do a clean install of Windows 7 RC. If you want to continue to use specific XP software applications, Microsoft also offers you a version of the Windows Virtual PC Beta for download.
