Congratulations, Canadian Palm fans! It's just been confirmed that the Palm Pre is heading for the great white north in the second half of 2009. The 3G smartphone will only be available on Bell Mobility's 3G mobile network, but at least the Pre will be available there.
“Bell is excited to be only the second carrier in the world to announce the 3G Pre,” said Adel Bazerghi, a senior vice president at Bell. “...we’re confident that Canadians will embrace Pre as the phone for their lives today.”
While I'm certain many Canadians will be happy to embrace the Palm Pre, they won't get to embrace it quite as fast as their U.S. neighbors. The Pre is expected to arrive here in June, so any Canucks who want to be ahead of the curve had better start planning a summer road trip.
