June 2nd is creeping up on us; E3 2009 isn't very far away. Many of the major players in the gaming industry are going to be there, and a lot of highly-anticipated games are going to have their media debut. We know waiting for E3 is hard, so we've gathered together some of the most interesting gaming rumors surrounding the expo.

MMO makers absent from E3: The makers of LOTR Online, Lineage, and Maple story will not be attending E3 in 2009. Most notably Blizzard, probably the most-lauded game developer in the world and creator of World of Warcraft, has confirmed that they will not be attending E3 this year. This is probably due to the overwhelming success that both PAX and BlizzCon have seen among the gaming communities.

At least one MMO developer is going to be at E3 this year. Trion will be giving the world the first big peek at their first MMO, Heroes of Telara. They've kept details of their new game tight so far, but it is known that they are working with the SyFy Channel to make the world's first MMO/TV hybrid. Whether or not that Heroes of Telara will be that hybrid should be announced at E3.

Paradox Interactive has confirmed that they will be debuting three games this E3. Hearts of Iron 3 is the most exciting new offering, but I'm also going to keep an eye on East India Company. Majesty 2 could be promising as well.

Microsoft and Sony are both expected to unveil motion-sensing technology for the 360 and the PS3, respectively. This will be a big change to the console gaming world, and either company's announcement will be a huge deal at E3. Hopefully we'll get some screen shots of some new motion-sensor based games on either console.
