Twitter, the latest social-networking big thing has come up with what it thinks is the right solution to increase it's revenue without the need for charging users access fees and avoiding the need for adverts slapped all over the site.
The brains behind Twitter could of walked away with a cool $500 million last year when Facebook offered to buy them out but they said 'no deal' and instead have been gathered around a table coming up with ideas to increase it's user base and increase it's revenue at the same time.So what have they come up with? Well their latest idea involves a range of add-on tools and services aimed at professional and business users. Including a directory of commercial accounts. Also they are looking into the possibility of talking with mobile phone operators to ensure Twitter works on their networks and sharing the generated profits along the way. Here in the UK they already have a partnership with Vodafone offering free messages on your mobile if you are a Vodafone customer.
