AT&T not supporting iPhone tethering in new iPhone 3.0 OS

Apple is right now presenting the new iPhone 3.0 OS at the WWDC 2009 and confirmed that it will support tethering. Tethering is a seamless experience on the iPhone and part of the OS.
22 carriers around the world will support tethering at launch. According to the live WWDC 2009 coverage at MacRumors AT&T is not among them.
This will be a huge disappointment to many AT&T iPhone customers. I guess a shit storm will go through Apple fan sites this week to hit on AT&T to enable tethering.
