There is something weird about over 4,000 people dressing up like zombies that is even a bit odder when it's not even Halloween. On the July 4th weekend, 4,277 people dressed like zombies showed up at Freemont Outdoor Movies to set a Guinness World Record for the largestzombie walk on the planet.
The zombie walk was sponsored by Xbox 360 and I am sure was tied into the Left 4 Dead franchise in some way. The previous record was 894 zombies in a walk held in Monroeville, PA.
"We had heard about the World Record last year unofficially captured in Grand Rapids and really believed that Seattle deserved the opportunity to be the 'Zombie Capital of the World', we are more than just coffee and grunge music, we love our movies too, so a zombie event was a 'no-brainer'.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
