Less than a year after its launch, the Samsung Behold is starting to look a little gray and grizzled. That's why the good folks at T-Mobile are getting ready to put the Behold out to pasture and bring in a younger, more vigorous replacement. The Samsung Behold 2 has just passed WiFi alliance testing and been approved for launch.
We don't yet know when the Behold 2 will hit or how much we can expect it to cost, but it's likely we'll see launch sometime on or around November 6. That was the launch date for the original Behold, and I doubt Samsung will wait any later then that to get this on the shelves. Boy Genius says we can look forward to seeing a 5+ megapixel camera, a 'big' touchscreen and, of course 3G on this new smartphone.
The Behold 2 is going to be a big release for Samsung, so it's likely we won't hear much about this until the Holidays get closer. We can safely expect most of the specs to leak out by October, just in time for an early November launch.
