In 46 days the Consumer Electronics show IFA 2009 opens in Berlin. Their signature redhead gadget model Miss IFA 2009 has already been busy posing with the latest gadgets that will be shown at the IFA 2009.
The IFA 2009 will take place between 4th and 9th September. The focus of the IFA 2009 will be around networked TVs, LED TVs, HD, GPS, and networked home appliances.
These technologies have of course also been present at CES 2009. We will see if companies will use IFA to launch new products for the global market. In experience most announcements are only for the German market and are products that have been announced already for the US or Japan.
This year the IFA organizers say almost all leading brands from the consumer electronics and home appliances industries are taking part. Pioneer and Sennheiser are back and JVC and Kenwood will have a shared booth.
Vodafone is playing it big with a 1,000m2 booth. The new home appliance section is expanding and will have companies like Bosch, Siemens, Miele, Electrolux, De’Longhi, Liebherr, Jura, Gorenje, Russell Hobbs and LG exhibiting.
