The appeal of the WildCharge system to me was always that you could replace the battery door of compatible mobile devices and then you never needed to plug in wires to charge your phone again. The company has announced a new universal charger that is both wireless and requires a wire, which is very strange.

The PowrerDisc is a universal charger with numerous adapters that allow you to plug the PowerDisc into the charge port of all sorts of gadgets from mobile phones to eReaders. Once plugged in the ChargeDisc is sat on the surface of the WildCharge pad where it charges the device without having to plug it in.

The weird part is that you do have to plug the PowerDisc into your gadget, which really defeats the purpose of wire-free charging. It's a bit of a paradox. The PowerDisc bundle sells for $64.99 and is available now.
