It's gearing up to be one of the coldest winters in recent memory, and there's only one way to deal with weather like that; sit inside and play video games. Nintendo is aiming to make that as easy a time as possible by releasing a whole slew of brand new games for the DS, DSi, and Wii. Here are the fall and holiday titles that I think are going to sell like hotcakes;
For the full game list, you'll want to check out Nintendo's press release. They've got an enormous line-up this year, and these are just the biggest names to look out for...
Wii:
First off, for the Wii; NBA 2K10 will launch on October 6th. For those of you who want to take on a different musical roll, Activision's DJ Hero is set to hit on Oct. 27th. Band Hero will hit next in November, and Guitar Hero: Van Halen is prepped for a December 22nd release. If shooting people attracts you more than playing music, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is expected for November 10th.
Dead Space: Extraction is also Wii bound this winter, it'll be in stores on September 29th. Spore Hero, also from EA, will be out on October 6th. Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes will come to stores on the same day. Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure continues is bound for sometime this fall.
The most exciting new Wii game this year has to be New Super Mario Bros, only given a vague "holiday" release date. Right next to the new Mario Bros game in anticipated awesomeness is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, due out on Christmas day, 2009.
DS/DSi:
Activision is bringing out Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 on September 15th, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized on Nov. 10th. EA's MySims Agents will come out on Sept. 22nd, while Spore Hero Arena will be out on October 6th. Aspyr Media will also put out Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain on October 26th.
Square Enix will roll out Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on September 29th, and Space Invaders Extreme 2 on October 20th. Meanwhile, Ubisoft's Battle of Giants: Dragons will be out on Sept. 29th. Might and Magic Clash of Heroes will be out a little earlier on Sept. 27th. Also, you might not want to miss James Cameron's The Avatar on November 24th.
