TomTom has introduced a new entry-level car navigation system called the TomTom Start. The device is designed specifically for those who only drive or travel long distances occasionally and is an entry-level device that has the ultimate in style and router planning.

The device has a simple menu and a two-button interface with plan router and browse map buttons. The screen of the device is 3.5-inches and has a semi-fixed EasyPort mount and the device is small enough to fit into a pocket or a glove box.

Features of the device include IQ Routers technology with the fastest route for any time of the day and accurate travel time. The device works with the TomTom Home desktop software allowing different voices to be used on the device. The Start will launch in Europe for €129 with a regional map and for €149 for Europe maps. Color skins can also be purchased to change the looks of the device for €14.95.
