Belkin International has had a whopping five products named CES 2010 Design and Engineering Award honorees. These winners will all be displayed at the CES show at Las Vegas in January. Winning Belkin products include the Gigabit Powerline HD Starter Kit, TuneCast Auto Live, Micro Auto Charger, TuneBase FM (with hands-free), and CushDesk.
The Gigabit Powerline HD starter kit allows customers to stream HD movies through their existing electrical wiring. It includes an adapter that will work on a console, HDTV, or computer, a WiFi signal booster, and push-button security. You can go here to learn more.
The TuneCast Auto Live is a software application that allows iPhone and iPod touch users to operate their FM transmitter with more control. It helps them locate and boost signals to better play radio music in the car. It works on the iPod classic and Nano as well, and also acts as an in-car charger for your phone.
Next, the Micro Auto Charger is an ultraportable charger for USB charging devices that features a quick charge port. Then there's the TuneBase FM which acts as a hands-free set and also lets you transmit audio wirelessly through FM channels.
Lastly, we've got the Cushdesk. It's just a portable laptop workspace that fits over your legs and protects them from the heat of your machine. Unlike most portable desks, the Cushdesk (pictured above) doesn't look huge and silly. You could pretty easily work with this in public without people staring at you for bringing a huge hunk of plastic into the Starbucks.
