Convergence in the notebook and netbook market is very important as each time we can combine multiple functions into one device it reduces weight and allows new features to be added. SkyCross has done just that with the announcement of a new antenna called the iMAT antenna that allows simultaneous Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in one antenna rather than two.
The antenna has 35 dB of isolation between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and are able to coexist in small devices without interfering with each other. The single antenna device saves space in the netbook and may allow the addition of 3G cards in machines that lacked the space for all three features before.
