The Sony VAIO VGN-P720K/Q comes with the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
operating system (32-bit version). Despite running on an Intel Atom CPU, you
should not call this Sony a netbook. It weighs just 1.4 pounds and it is small
(4.8 x 9.7 x 0.8 inches) enough to slip into a pocket or handbag. This Lifestyle
PC is packed full of advanced computing, communication, and location
capabilities. This version of the Lifestyle PC (model P720K/Q) comes in onyx
black, but emerald green, garnet red, crystal white, and gold are also available.
The Sony VAIO VGN-P720K/Q incorporates built-in wireless WAN 3G Mobile
Broadband, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology. It also incorporates
real-time GPS functionality. The high-resolution, backlit 8-inch ultra-wide
XBRITE-ECO display provides razor-sharp viewing on the go. It is powered by a
1.33 GHz Intel processor and includes an 80GB hard disk drive, memory expansion
via Memory Stick media and Secure Digital (SD) memory cards, and 2 GB of RAM
(maximum capacity). Other features include a Motion Eye webcam, two USB ports,
and a VGA port for connecting to an external monitor. The unit features up to
3.5 hours of battery life and 7 hours with the large capacity battery (sold
separately).
