Gift Tip 52: Mattel Mindflex Game - The Other Hard To Find Toy

The Mattel Mindflex Game is a new-generation, innovative game introduced by Mattel, the largest manufacturer of toys in the world and the creator of the Barbie doll. It is a game based on a person’s ability to control his or her mind. It was officially unveiled at CES 2009 and was also a part of the Toy Fair 2009.
The Mattel Mindflex Game is out of stock at most places and is almost as hard to find and over-priced on eBay as the Zhu Zhu Pets.

To play this game, you need to wear a headset equipped with sensors. The sensors act as detectors of your brainwave activity. Energy will be produced in correspondence with the detected brainwave activity.

The energy thus produced is used to run a fan, which directs a small foam ball through an obstacle course. The level of your concentration will determine whether the ball moves up or down. The ball will move while you are concentrating and will move down while you are relaxing. You can easily customize the course by interchanging the obstacles. The power of your mind only controls the up and down movement and for navigating the ball through the course, you will be required to employ the control knob.

The sensors in the headsets of the Mattel Mindflex Game use an adopted form of EEG technology to gauge the brainwave activity. This game offers you numerous ways to customize its obstacle course using the nine obstacles provided. You will also have the opportunity to play the game in any of the five different game modes. This game was developed with children aged 8 or older in mind.

Mattel with its Mindflex Game has sought to provide a game that goes well with kids and adults alike. Most people have left their mental power unexplored and this game provides them a fun-filled, enjoyable chance to discover the capability of their minds. The abundance of customization opportunities means that you can set up the game in virtually any way you want, which allows you to find the limits of your mind control powers.

Great Gift For
The Mattel Mindflex Game can be a great gift for children and adults alike as the challenge is how much one can control his or her mind. See also the Star Wars Force Trainer.

Price and Where to Buy
The Mattel Mindflex Game has a list price of $79.99, but can be found for below that when in stock. Prices on eBay for the Mattel Mindflex are reaching prices of around $150. In September the Mindflex price was lowered from the initial $99.99, but now we are looking at a hard to find toy. None of the big shops have it in stock. Keep trying Amazon.
