The Hottest Holiday Toys Besides Zhu Zhu Pets

The holiday shopping is in its final stretch and retailers are scrambling to re-stock the hottest gifts. ToysRUs revealed in an announcement this week what toys they re-stock in huge numbers to meet demand for the last holiday 2009 shopping days.
ToysRUs will be offering up 2 million Lego sets over the next several days, including the hot LEGO Power Miners (photo) and LEGO City sets, 300,000 Bakugan Traps and Special Attack Packs, 500,000 NERF items including the NERF Vulcan, 500,000 bikes and scooters and last but not least 200,000 Wii and Xbox 360 consoles.

ToysRus also mentioned getting new stock of Bendaroos Building Sticks 500-Piece Set, ChixOs Pink Design-A-Luxury Loft, Power Wheels Quad, Tag Reading System, Paperoni Deluxe Studio, Harumika, Runway Showstopper Set, EyeClops Mini Projector (now only $39.98 on Amazon) and Smart Cycle Extreme. You can find most toys mentioned above on sale on ToysRUs and on Amazon.

The undisputed hottest toys of the holiday shopping season 2009 are Zhu Zhu Pets.
ToysRUs has, like Walmart, announced huge shipments of Zhu Zhu Pets coming in. ToysRUs will start selling them today in-stores.

Also hard to find is the Mattel Mindflex game.

Robots are absent from the top holiday toy charts this year, besides the Zhu Zhu hamster - which needs to be counted as a toy robot. See also our Top 10 Toys And Gadget Gifts 2009.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
