Are you excited about the Pinetrail Atom platform? If so, you'll be glad to know we've got the full specs from one of the first machines to make use of the new technology. Netbooknews.de (Netbooked for English) has managed to come across several images and a detailed hardware list for the Asus Eee PC 1005P and PE.
The 1005P is the "cheap" version of this netbook. It sports a 10" matte display, Atom N450 processor, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 160 GB HDD, .3 MP webcam, WiFi b/g, Windows 7 Starter, 6 cell battery, VGA out, a mic port, headphone jack, and 3x USB connectors, plus a card reader. The 1005PE is the same, except for a 250 GB HD, glossy display, and a 12.5 hour battery. Reviews for these machines are expected to be up next week, and they should launch in January of 2010 with the first wave of Pinetrail machines. It's an exciting time to be a netbook lover.
