The Palm Pre is one of Sprint's exclusive handsets. The Pre has been on the market for a while now and was the first Palm handset to run the new webOS operating system. Sprint has announced that an update is coming for the Pre webOS today.

The new software update is webOS 1.3.5 build 194 Sprint Config 2.0. The update adds several enhancements to the device. One of the fixes in the new software is an improvement in battery life when in marginal coverage areas.

A fix for QCELP is included to allow the play of audio and video to be sent via MMS. Google maps and Sprint Nav can now be launched by tapping an address from contacts. The update also minimizes the package of MR size through binary difference allowing downloading over 2G when needed.
