Asus and Fresco Logic are showing off USB 3.0 solutions at CES this week. The pair will be showing off Asus peripherals with Fresco Logic FL1000 host controller chips allowing USB 3.0 connectivity for gear like storage devices and HD webcams.

One of the products will be a new Asus N-Series notebook with the FL1000 host controller that allows the streaming of 1080p HD video from a PC camera. Asus will also be showing off a mainboard with a HD webcam and a USB 3.0 external HDD.

The FL1000 host controller will be in other products as well ranging from ad din PCI Express cards or Express Cards. USB 3.0 will be a big focus at CES this year for many companies and we expect lots more USB 3.0 announcements.
