Best Buy Reports $8.5B In Revenue For December At CES

Buy Best Buy from Amazon Prime Day, Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

Best Buy announced lots of gear at CES including a completely new line of notebooks that will be branded for its stores. The company also announced how well it did revenue wise in the month of December with the holidays.

Best Buy announced that its revenue for the December through January 2 grew 13% to $8.5 billion. The five-week revenue was up compared to the same period last year totaling $7.5 billion. The big increase is due to a store sales increase of 8.2% according to Best Buy and the addition of new stores around the country.

The company also reported a significant growth in online sales that contributed to the $1 billion growth for the five-week period. Sales of Best Buy's computer line increased 28.5% with sales of appliances growing by 16.2%.
