All of our tablet speculation and debate is about to be rendered moot. Engadget reports that they have just received their invitation for the Apple product unveiling on January 27th. The invitation says, "come see our latest creation" in front of a backdrop of splattered paint and the Apple logo.
There is no doubting what this unveiling must be about. The Apple tablet (or the device we've all been mistaking for the Apple tablet) will be announced to the whole world before the end of this month. No more details are available but, based on the design of the invitation, it seems likely that whatever product Apple launches will have artistic uses.
10:00 AM, Pacific time, on January 27th. Mark that time and date on your calendars and start squirrelling away all of your spare cash. Something wicked awesome this way comes.
